The winning couple from short-lived dating series Outback Jack have spoken about their relationship, 15 years after falling in love on the American reality show.
Outback Jack, which ran for one season on TBS in 2004, followed 12 American women vying for the heart of ‘rugged Aussie bloke’ Vadim Dale.
As of 2019, Vadim and his winning contestant Natalie Dale (née Franzman) are still together, happily married and proud parents to three daughters.

Speaking to Mamamia, Vadim said he didn’t expect their relationship to last so long.
‘I’m just as shocked as everyone else, trust me,’ he said.
The Outback Jack couple now live in Natalie’s hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, where Vadim worked as a police officer until recently.
Vadim and Natalie have three daughters: Hunter, 12, Eden, 11 and Chloe, nine.

Vadim admits he didn’t immediately fall for Natalie while filming the show in 2004.
There were apparently so many catfights and arguments between the women that he didn’t register Natalie as ‘wife material’ until later on.
‘Halfway through the show I was like, “Oh, who’s this girl?” She was sweet. She didn’t throw herself on me. She wasn’t about the drama,’ he said.

In the end, the underwear model picked Natalie and the couple were sent to Mexico to get to know each other better.
‘I think that’s when we started realising, like, “Oh, maybe this is more than just two people at the end of a D-grade reality show. Maybe we can make something of this”,’ Vadim said.
The next year, Vadim left Australia and moved to Kentucky to live with Natalie. They married in September 2005.
The couple went on to make further appearances on reality TV over the years, including the New Zealand version of Survivor.
Career change: From 2010 to 2018, Vadim was a police officer with the Louisville Metro Police Department. He eventually became their spokesperson and was often seen on the local news
Natalie and Vadim welcomed their first child, Hunter, in 2007. Their second, Eden, followed two years later.
In 2009, he joined the Louisville Metro Police Department academy and became an officer in 2010. Around this time, Natalie gave birth to their third daughter, Chloe.
Although the three girls know their parents met on a reality show, they only watched Outback Jack for the first time last week.
Vadim told Mamamia he doesn’t want to show his daughters all of the footage until they’re older, as he kissed other women on the show.

While working for the police force, Vadim was involved in several shootings, and saved his daughter Chloe’s life by performing CPR when she had a seizure in 2011.
The model-turned-lawman received 19 commendations, two Medals of Valour and one life-saving award during his law enforcement career.
He was eventually appointed by the Chief of Police to be a police spokesperson, and made regular appearances on local news reports.
However, Vadim was scouted by a investment firm to be their spokesperson and resigned from the police in May 2018.
